Gift Ideas for Taurus

Hi all. I should be very grateful if you would answer two questions: what gifts do you prefer to get and what gifts do you hate? I need it for article Gift Ideas for Taurus. Thank you! :)

I like to get nice things for the bathroom - bath bombs, scented candles, bath confetti, nice soap. and CDs and books of poetry, rope lights, photo frames with photos of my friends in...

I HATE getting useless things which I'll never use but take up space...like silly little purses and bags. I got an underwear bag for xmas & I was like "WTF am I supposed to do with THIS?"

hmmm - as it's nearly Taurus season I may have to circulate this around my friends!

Fancy food items (croissants and marmalade with fresh coffee make a great gift if this gift is a breakfast in bed kinda dealie.)

breakfast in bed.

getting to bed *nudge nudge wink wink* in the first place

heheh, hey, we are a sensual bunch!

see, I HATE plants! If someone gave me a plant I'd probably give it away or throw in in the bin! I do seem to be an exception to the rule on that one though.

plants and flowers - good
bath stuff - bad
candles - good
useless stuff - bad
thoughtful gifts - good
handmade gifts - good
gift certificates can also be good cuz i'm picky, but only if they're to a store i'm known to like, otherwise they come off as not thoughtful or personal
nice bottle of wine - good

best thing to learn about what to get a taurus is to get to know your taurus. not all of us are the same. that being said here are a few of my likes and dislikes.
like
gift cards/certificates
checks/cash money
anything hand made (hand made items are thoughtful and you know they put a lot of themselves into the gift)
jewelry
music
anything i happen to collect (check with the person first to be sure they don't already have it)

dislike
clothing (because people do not know my style and as sizes varies i generally have to take them back and exchange them)
shoes (see above)
candy/food
books

flowers

I don't know, I'm more in with my saggitarius rising, so I'd love getting to go somewhere exotic, or learning about an unusual or odd thing, like a machine or something O_o. Books and poetry are what I like mostly.

I think the whole "materialistic" aspect of being a Taurus is often misenterpreted. It's been my experience that it's not that Taurus need "things", so much as that the things they do have seem to be very special and mean a lot to them. I myself am a pac-rat by nature. I keep EVERYTHING. I have scraps of material leftover from costumes from plays I was in way back in highschool that I can't get rid of becasue I've placed some form of personal attachment on them. In general, if you know a Taurus, and you can explain some form of thought process that went into the gift, even if they HATE the gift in itself, they're going to recognize that you put thought into it, and it's going to become some form of prized posession.
I myself love anything practical. I covet my kitchen utensils, love art supplies and stickers, my mother will buy me things like gift cards to the super-market, or shampoo and I'm THRILLED. But on the other hand, I love things that are given to me JUST BECAUSE they are NOT practical at all..... an ex-boyfriends mother once gave me a light-bright, because it was her practice to buy all the "kids" a toy and something "fun" for christmas..... and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. I still proudly display the little wooden peg men that my first major love made me because he'd heard me say I liked the one he'd made himself..... With Taurus, it's often more about the thought that went into the gift than the gift itself. Sometimes that thought is, "wow.... I noticed that when I was in the bathroom, she was low on toliet paper." Yeah, toliet paper in general..... not the best gift, but the fact of the matter is that you NOTICED something that had to do with us..... and put thought into it. Because I know when I give a gift, I agonize over what would be perfect..... and knowing that someone put thought into what they give to me, is all that really matters, not the gift itself..... Just my two cents.
